Transmission Roller chain is commonly used to transmit power from, typically a geared motor drive. Machinery speed can then be altered by varying the size of the drive sprockets used.

Roller Chain

The most commonly used chain is roller chain or as it is also known transmission chain. These are the simplest chain drives, Used mainly for transmitting power. Can be supplied from 3mm pitch up to 4” pitch in either mild steel or stainless steel.

Roller Chain Attachments

These are attachments which can be fitted to standard roller chains. This would then make a roller chain suitable for conveying products. Attachments can be supplied with either 1, 2 or 3 holes and the attachments can be upright or right angled or complete specials to suit any application.

Extended Pin Roller Chain

Once again these chains use a standard roller chain but have an extended pin coming out of either one side or both sides of the chain. Again used for conveying products.

Solid Pin Conveyor Chain

These heavy duty chains have straight side plates and are used for conveying products which either sit directly on top of the chain, or the chain can be supplied with welded attachments.

Hollow Pin Conveyor Chain

Same as the solid pin conveyor chain, Only these have a hollow bore through which a metal rod can be placed. Again, used to convey products between 2 or more strands of chain.

Forged Link Chain

These chains are normally supplied with flights welded onto each side. Used for pulling products such as cement, flour and grain.

Used solely for lifting applications, mainly found on forklift trucks.

Rubber Topped Roller Chain

Rubber attachments can be moulded onto a standard roller chain or they can be supplied to simply “clip on”. Again used to convey products such as bricks and tiles.

Used in the agricultural market for use on combine harvesters, sugar beet harvesters etc.. Usually supplied with some form of attachment fitted.

Again heavy duty chains which can have attachments welded onto the top or sides of the chain. Used mainly for conveying products.

Crate Conveyor Chain

Used mainly in the food and beverage market. Its sole use is to convey products along a conveyor. The products sit directly on top of the chain and can be supplied for straight or curved conveyors. Usually only ever supplied in either plastic or malleable iron.

Apron Conveyor Chain

These chains are fed with product being dumped directly onto the steel slats of the chain. The product can then be conveyed up an incline and fed directly into another awaiting machine such as a rotary hammer crusher.

These chains are used in feeding application and automation engineering for gently conveying items. Essentially accumulation chains are used whenever workpieces, warehouse items, pallets, containers or crates need to be moved, queued, accelerated or separated.

German manufactured OEM spec spike chains for Thermoformers including lllig, Keifel, Brown and TFT machines. Simplex and duplex chains are available with various spike profiles on the outer plates.
